Manicure
A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. At Beauty Works Horsham, my manicures consist of filing, shaping of the free edge, cuticle treatments, hand massage and application of polish. Manicures are not just for an aesthetic benefit. Emphasis is given to the correct preparation of the nails, such as removing the cuticle and applying a variety of creams and oils in order to maintain a healthy balance of oils on and around the nail bed. A manicure treatment at Beauty Works Horsham will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Pedicure
A pedicure is a way of improving the appearance of the feet and nails. It provides a similar service to a manicure. Pedicures are not just limited to nails at Beauty Works Horsham. I remove hard skin on the bottom of the feet, before immersing them in a bubbling whirlpool foot spa and continuing with shaping the nails, cuticle treatments, foot massage and application of polish.
Paraffin Wax Treatments (a luxurious addition to Manicures and Pedicures).
Hands and Feet can be coated in warm paraffin wax for softening and moisturizing the skin. Paraffin wax is used because it can be heated to a high temperature without burning. The intense heat allows for deeper absorption of emollients and essentials oils. The wax is usually infused with various botanical ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil, or fruit extracts such as Peach. Prior to the paraffin wax application, a rich lotion is massaged into the hands or feet. They are then wrapped in a specially designed plastic bag and inserted into heated mittens or boots to retain warmth. The results are exquisite!

Includes intensive skin softening and exfoliation treatment, nail and cuticle treatments, hand massage, warm paraffin wax and heated mitts. Includes polish
Satin Hands Manicure – 45 minutes
As above but without the paraffin wax
File and Varnish – 30 minutes
Paraffin Wax Pedicure – 75 minutes
A warm sensuous experience. Includes cleansing in whirlpool foot spa, nail and cuticle treatments, foot massage, warm paraffin wax and heated boots. Includes polish
Sole Delights – 60 minutes
As above but without the paraffin wax
